Matt Kennedy (born March 4, 1989) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL). Kennedy was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 5th round (131st overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Prior to turning professional, Kennedy played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League.
On November 23, 2010, Kennedy, along with Stefan Chaput, was traded by Carolina to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Ryan Carter.[1]
